Rick Grimes was a deputy before he found himself to be the leader of a band of survivors in a zombie apocalypse. He is skilled in small arms combat, leadership, and killing zombies.
Solara knows how to survive in a post nuclear world. She has no fear of wielding a machete or tossing grenades. Also can drive while under pursuit, and has the grit to strangle someone. When it comes time to settle she knows how to run a bar.

Strider from Lord of the Rings vs. Mathayus from The Scorpion King
Strider is a ranger of the north who is an exceptional tracker, horseman, swordsman and archer. He often fights against over whelming odds and his skills keep him and those he protects alive. He also knows how to lead, since he was the king to unite the human realm.
Mathayus is the last true Akkadian mercenary who later ascends to Scorpion King. The man knows how to survive in a harsh desert climate, as well as rule a kingdom. There isn’t a single melee weapon he isn’t able to wield and he is an exceptional archer.

Jack Reacher from Jack Reacher vs. Bryan Mills from Taken
Jack Reacher is a drifter who formerly spent thirteen years in the military police. He lacks remorse and has exceptionally fast reflexes as well as elevated aggression levels. He has a fascination with mathematics and has in-depth technical and military knowledge. He has experience in various martial arts, but doesn’t favor melee combat.
Bryan Mills “I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. He is exceptional at hand to hand combat, and a marksman with a pistol.

Sherlock Holmes is a detective who can dawn any disguise, and uses forensic science and logical reasoning. He is skilled at breaking into houses, hand to hand combat, and is accurate with a pistol. Arguably the best detective of all time.
Picine survives as a cast away at sea, along with a Bengal tiger. Resourceful…..relies on Faith during tribulations. Has animal knowledge. Keeps busy, has focus and invents a sense if purpose to avoid despair
