Slayers:

Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead vs. Wichita from Zombieland

Rick Grimes was a deputy before he found himself to be the leader of a band of survivors in a zombie apocalypse. He is skilled in small arms combat, leadership, and killing zombies.

Wichita is a shotgun wielding vixen, who has plenty of practice at dropping the undead. Prior to surviving in a zombie infested world she was a masterful conwoman, and brought that survival skill with her into Zombieland. She is also a skilled driver.

BAMFs:

Strider from Lord of the Rings vs. King Leonidas of 300

Strider is a ranger of the north who is an exceptional tracker, horseman, swordsman and archer. He often fights against over whelming odds and his skills keep him and those he protects alive. He also knows how to lead, since he was the king to unite the human realm.

King Leonidas knows how to rule a military society. He leads from the front lines, and is a hardened veteran of war. He is skilled with a spear and sword.

Boys with Toys:

John Mcclain from Die Hard vs. Bryan Mills from Taken

John McClain is a senior detective lieutenant with over thirty years on the force. He is used to operating solo without any help from his department. He is described as being a foul-mouthed, wisecracking, cop with an itchy trigger finger and a maverick spirit.

Bryan Mills  “I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you”. He is exceptional at hand to hand combat, and a marksman with a pistol.

More than Meets the Eye

Macgyver from Macgyver vs. Private Jackson from Saving Private Ryan

Macgyver is a secret agent who prefers nonviolent resolution when possible, and refuses to handle guns. He is educated as a scientist, and has a background in EOD. His primary resources are a vast knowledge of physical sciences and the ability to solve complex problems with everyday items.

Pvt. Jackson “What I mean by that, sir, is if you was to put me and this here sniper rifle anywhere up to and including one mile from Adolf Hitler… with a clean line of sight… Pack your bags, fellas. War’s over. Amen.” He is an exceptional World War II sniper who fought through DDay, so you know he can handle himself in the worst possible situation imaginable.
