Survival Tip #186
Windshield Wipers
For anyone who has ever tried to drive in the rain with old windshield wipers knows how much more dangerous it makes the task. A tip to preserving the longevity of your blades is to point them into the air when you know a snow or ice storm is coming. By doing this it will keep the melting snow from freezing them into one gigantic icicle that you damage with your scraper when you try to free it and will also make cleaning off the windshield easier because you won’t have to worry about being gentle around them.
