Cars are not Bulletproof

This is another example of movies lying to us. The body of a car is not bulletproof. Maybe back when they were made of metal this was possible, but most calibers will be able to pass through both sides of a car.

If you don’t find yourself stuck in a firefight and your only option for cover is a car place yourself behind the front wheel opposite the shooter. This is still a vulnerable position and you should be looking for an opportunity to get out of the situation or to better cover.
